Pavilion FAQs

A backyard pavilion is an excellent addition to any backyard.

However, you may have some questions. This FAQ section lists some of the common questions people have.

Ask us about your ideas for your own backyard pavilion. We can answer your questions and help you to set up one that is perfect for you.

What size pavilion do I need?

We will be glad to go over the pavilion sizes and suggest layouts that considers your desires and a pavilion that is well suited to your backyard.

Do I need to set a foundation?

Depends on the type. If your pavilion has a floor, then regular hard pack level pad will be fine. If it does not have a floor, then it will need piers. We can work with you or your contractor to get all the details right.

How long does it take to set up the pavilion?

We can deliver and have the setup complete within one day. On occasion, with a larger size pavilion, the installation may take two days to complete.

Do I need a building permit?

Town permit requirements for pavilions vary from town to town. In many towns, you do not need a permit for an average size pavilion. We do leave this up to you, the homeowner. We will gladly assist you with the application if your town requires one.

What about leveling and preparing the site?

Many times hard pack gravel can do wonders to help level off the area. Our gazebos require the same site prep as our sheds. Check out our site prep page here for more information.
