What is a floor plan?

Floor plans are scale drawings that show the relationship between rooms, spaces, and physical features viewed from above.

They provide a way to visualize how people will move through and use a space.

Can floor plans be modified?

Yes!

All floor plans can be modified to suit your desires. There are limitations, and we will happily work with you to customize any cabin floor plan to meet your needs and desires.

What is included in a floor plan?

All of your living and working spaces. Your cabin floor plans will indicate the location and setup of bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms, the kitchen, and closets.
Room layouts.
Location of doors and windows.
Deck layouts.

Are floor plans the same as an elevation drawing?

An elevation drawing is usually the next step after a floor plan. Elevations and floor plans often go hand in hand.

A floor plan offers a bird’s eye view of the entire floor. An elevation shows the exterior view from the sides, as if you were looking at a photo of the home from eye level.

Can you suggest how to future-proof my floor plan?

Planning for the future ensures you will love your log cabin for years to come. You can’t predict the future precisely, but you should consider what life will look like for you and your family over the next 10-20 years.

Additionally: The Settler and Frontier can come in 22′ Wide.
