If you’ve been dreaming about having your own indoor riding arena in New England, The Carriage Shed is here to help you bring it to life. We recently completed a custom 70x120x16 riding arena designed to provide year-round space for riding, training, and equestrian enjoyment—even through New England’s toughest seasons.
This arena is a beautiful example of how a high-quality, Amish-built riding arena can balance function, comfort, and curb appeal. The building features white pine board & batten siding, offering classic New England charm with the durability to last for decades. All four walls are outfitted with 6-foot clear panels, maximizing natural light while keeping the interior protected from the elements.
Designed for riders who need both space and structure, this 70×120 indoor arena includes:
- (3) pairs of 12×14 aluminum sliding doors for easy access
- (2) man doors with tempered glass
- Heavy-duty wood gates at all entry points
- A 12-inch slanted ride rail for safety and traditional style
- A 4/12 pitch truss system, engineered for a 40-5-5 snow load, with 4′ on-center spacing
- A metal roof with a condensation barrier to prevent interior moisture buildup
But what truly sets this arena apart is the attached 20’ x 16’ connector with a 9-foot ceiling, which leads up to a lofted viewing room and outdoor deck—ideal for coaches, parents, or guests to watch the action from above. It even has a gorgeous kitchenette! This feature adds value and versatility to the structure, making it feel like more than just an arena—it’s an equestrian hub.
Other Features:
- (4) Anderson Silverline windows (2 on each 16’ side)
- (2) 6’x4’ side-slide viewing windows without grids for clear sightlines
- Engineered stamped prints, ensuring structural integrity and compliance
As with all our custom builds, this arena was delivered and set up on a prepared site, making the process smooth and stress-free for the customer.
